He's Gone!
David left us with zero tears(from him) yesterday at about 1:00pm. We drove down to Provo, ate a few tacos at Taco Time(just getting him in the beans and rice spirit) and dropped him off.
Mom, David and Mary drove down in Mom's car, and Christin and I with our boys, Renee, Audrey and Alicia were in our van. As we pulled up to the MTC, there were people all over directing traffic, along with lots of big signs that tell you where to go, and where not to go. Well, on one side of the parking lot are two large signs reading "EXIT ONLY". I took that to mean that they did not want us to enter at that point, but probably somewhere else. So I drove to the front entrance and followed the directions of lots of nice people waving orange wands at me to park with no incident.
Mom on the other hand, when she read the "EXIT ONLY" signs apparently took it as a challenge, and broke David's very first(and fairly simple) mission rule for him by driving right on through the signs(past a very nice, confused, old orange-wand-waving man) to find herself a really nice parking spot under a tree. This resulted in David needing to drag his luggage all the way across the parking lot, down a long path to drop his luggage off at the luggage spot(which otherwise would have required simply removing them from the trunk and handing them over to a nice orange-wand-waving gentleman). This resulted in us getting in a little late to register Elder David into the MTC. Fortunately everyone in there is really nice, and there were lots of people later than we were.
Here are a few pictures I managed to snap with my cellphone of our experience dropping the wonderful young man off. Please enjoy.

Two good looking guys!
A bunch of good looking people!
A nice tag, complete with the "Celestial Dot" telling the world that he is new in the MTC(I seem to remember calling them something else...)
